The Harrier 48 BBC shares the same proven specification as the Harrier 48 VS, built around a corrosion-resistant aluminium cutting deck with a lifetime warranty against cracking or breaking under normal use, and a lifetime crankshaft warranty covering accidental contact with solid objects. The deck is light enough to manoeuvre with ease yet rigid enough for long-term, heavy-use durability.

The key distinction of this model is the Blade Brake Clutch (BBC), which allows the cutting blade to be stopped independently of the engine. This means the engine can remain running while the blade disengages — useful when briefly pausing to move an obstacle, empty the grassbag, or navigate a tricky section, without the need to restart the mower each time.

The self-propelled drive takes the physical effort out of mowing, and the two-piece ribbed rear roller provides superior traction alongside smooth, scuff-free turns that avoid turf marking — while simultaneously producing the defined stripe finish characteristic of a well-kept lawn.

Seven cutting height settings run from 13mm to 60mm, all controlled via a single counter-balanced lever. Vari-Pitch™ cutting technology automatically adjusts the deck angle to increase airflow when cutting longer grass, maintaining consistent performance without manual adjustment. The trim-side deck design allows cutting right up to edges, borders, raised flower beds, and retaining walls, reducing the need for follow-up trimming.
