The Pocketboy's curved blade is the key to its cutting performance — the curve causes the teeth to bite into wood more aggressively at awkward angles, making it particularly effective for overhead pruning or cutting at low levels where a straight blade loses efficiency. With 8 teeth per 30mm, the blade cuts quickly on the pull stroke and leaves a clean, smooth finish without tearing the wood fibre.
Despite its compact size, the Pocketboy never compromises on the blade quality and tooth geometry that Silky is known for. The blade folds securely into the handle when not in use, protecting both the teeth and the user during transport and storage. A rope hole or carabiner attachment point on the handle allows it to be clipped to a belt or harness for instant access on the job.
Two blade lengths are available via the dropdown menu above. As a general guide, each blade length is suited to branches up to approximately half the blade length in diameter — so the 130mm blade handles branches up to around 65mm, while the 170mm blade is suited to branches up to around 85mm. Larger branches are better suited to the longer blade for efficient, controlled cutting.
