Stihl FA11-011-5720 FSA50 Cordless Grass Trimmer Kit - AK10 + AL101

The FSA 50 is part of STIHL's AK cordless system and delivers consistent power throughout the battery charge cycle thanks to STIHL's Constant Power technology — unlike many cordless tools where performance drops as the battery depletes, the FSA 50 maintains the same cutting power from start to finish. On a full charge, the included AK 10 battery provides up to 25 minutes of working time, and its positioning on the tool contributes to excellent overall balance during use.

The mowing head can be rotated 90° with a few simple movements, converting the trimmer into an edger without changing tools or grip. This allows clean, vertical cuts along paths and flower beds to be made in a comfortable, upright working position. The head can also be angled at multiple stages to suit the user's height and adapt to the working environment — particularly useful when trimming under low obstacles such as garden benches or working on slopes and uneven ground.

The telescopic shaft adjusts to suit different heights without tools, and the loop handle can be tilted independently to further fine-tune the working position and reduce back strain during longer sessions. The soft-grip round handle incorporates the on/off control lever and a control lever lock for safe, comfortable operation, absorbing some of the vibration produced during use.

Speed is controlled via a variable trigger, allowing power to be reduced for lighter work and extended battery runtime, or increased for denser vegetation — all without pausing or changing grip. A carrying ring is integrated into the body for safe, compact storage.

The FSA 50 is supplied with an AutoCut C 3-2 mowing head, which can be refilled with new line without tools. It is also compatible with the PolyCut 3-2 head (sold separately) for tackling tougher weeds and coarser vegetation. A newly designed spacer bar protects plants, bark, and surrounding objects during use — the flexible front section allows the bar to be pressed gently against objects where needed for precise clearance work close to borders and beds. The bar folds up or down as required. A spare blade can also be stored directly on the tool for quick field replacement.

The low noise output of the FSA 50 makes it a considerate choice for residential gardens where minimising disturbance to neighbours is a practical concern.
